Fashion Design

Job Description and Activities- Fashion designers create garments for men, women, and children. They usually design one type of garment such as dresses, bridal gowns, or outerwear. They must be creative, while designing clothing that people will like. Fashion designers travel to fabric houses, and museums to get ideas for new styles and colors. They read fashion journals and visit stores and fashion shows to keep up with new fashion trends. They sketch drawings of their design. Some use computer graphic programs to produce their designs. They choose colors and fabrics for their new designs that are within their budgets.

They must quickly assess their condition and communicate the information to the hospital ER staff. They use cardiopulmonary resuscitation to try to revive people if they have stopped breathing. Elementary School Teacher

Job Description and Activites-They design learning activities for students each day. They also test and record the progress of each student. They discuss these records with parents. Elementary teachers work about 36 hours a week in classrooms. Another 15 hours a week is spent grading papers and preparing lessons. They usually work about nine to ten months a year.
Education Needed- Students should take courses that meet college entrance requirements. Helpful high school courses would include Chemistry, Creative Writing, Foreign Language (minimum of two years), Geometry, and Literature.  To become certified, teachers must have a bachelor's degree in education. They then practice their skills by teaching in elementary schools under the supervision of certified teachers. A graduate degree is required for university faculty positions.
